The Oatmeal of Alford uses oats farmed by us on our farm in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. We are extremely proud of the production of these healthy organic oats. The oats are dried and graded on the farm before being taken to Montgarrie Mill. The bi-products from the milling – chaff and husks- are fed to our small herd of premium Aberdeen Angus cows and the excess heat from the process is used to heat our day old chick houses.
