Senior Events & Guest Experience Manager

You will be in a senior project management role with responsibility for planning, coordinating, and delivering a wide range of projects across the business. While the primary focus is on broader strategic and operational projects, you will also support the planning and delivery of key events, contributing to creative briefs, managing related administration, and ensuring that these projects come to life smoothly and successfully.
This role will ensure continuity across our projects and guest-facing operations, while supporting directors and the wider team.
The focus will be on:
Coordinating projects across multiple businesses.
Overseeing Hawarden Estate Holidays (guest communications, booking systems, customer experience).
Supporting the delivery of The Good Life Society summer events and workshops.
Providing light-touch marketing and team oversight to keep plans and reporting on track.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management & Delivery
Lead on the planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution of projects across multiple businesses.
Own project timelines, ensuring key milestones, budgets, and deliverables are met.
Coordinate cross-business initiatives, seasonal campaigns, and guest experience projects.
Work closely with directors and team leads to set priorities, track progress, and troubleshoot challenges.
Guest & Customer Experience
Oversee operations for Hawarden Estate Holidays, including guest communications, booking platforms (Supercontrol, Airbnb), and on-site experience.
Support the delivery of high-quality customer service across all guest-facing touchpoints.
Ensure systems, processes, and workflows are effective, well-documented, and continually improving.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Coordination
Facilitate communication and collaboration across departments.
Lead project meetings, run progress check-ins, and ensure alignment across marketing, operations, and events teams.
Act as a point of escalation for the team, offering leadership support and practical solutions.
Marketing & Communications Support
Work with the marketing team to keep campaigns and content calendars on track.
Provide feedback on messaging and support the delivery of brand-aligned communications.
Support the production of reports, presentations, and project updates for directors.
Events Oversight (Part of Wider Role)
Contribute to the planning and delivery of key estate events as part of larger projects (e.g. The Good Life Society Summer Camp, workshops, seasonal launches).
Support scheduling, logistics, and on-the-ground delivery when required.
Ensure event activity aligns with wider business goals and project timelines.
Administration & Reporting
Maintain project trackers, budgets, and revenue reports.
Oversee compliance tasks, including risk assessments and insurance documentation.
Deliver regular updates and concise reporting to directors and stakeholders.
Must Haves
Significant experience in project management across hospitality, events, or a similar industry.
Proven track record of coordinating complex, multi-stakeholder projects from concept to completion.
Exceptional organisational and administrative skills, with excellent attention to detail.
Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and coordinate teams.

Project & Events Coordinator

The RoleWe’re looking for a Project & Events Coordinator to join our busy team and help deliver an exciting calendar of workshops, events, and guest experiences across the Hawarden Estate.
This is a hands-on, varied role that blends project coordination, events delivery, customer experience, and on-site operations. You’ll support the planning and delivery of everything from workshops and private dinners to festivals and seasonal events — ensuring they run smoothly and look fantastic.
The role involves regular weekend work and some evening hours, reflecting the nature of our events and guest-facing activities.
Key Responsibilities
Events Planning & Delivery
Plan, curate, and coordinate Walled Garden School workshops, including set-up, on-site management, staff coordination, and take-down.
Support the curation and delivery of The Good Life Society Summer Camp — including workshops, customer liaison, and on-the-ground guest management (alongside the wider team).
Provide hands-on support for a range of estate events (e.g. Easter Show, corporate/private events, weddings, Bonfire Night) — including logistics, set-up, guest experience, and breakdown.
Support the planning and delivery of small-scale events and experiences, such as private dinners, press launches, and bespoke activations.
Work closely with senior team members to ensure the look, feel, and design of events meets brand standards and enhances the guest experience.
Customer Experience & Liaison
Act as a welcoming and knowledgeable point of contact for guests on site — answering questions, providing guidance, and ensuring their experience is seamless.
Assist with tours, show-rounds, and estate visits, representing Hawarden Estate with warmth and professionalism.
Coordinate customer communications for events and workshops where required.
Administration & Logistics
Manage all administrative tasks related to events and workshops, including schedules, guest lists, checklists, supplier bookings, and post-event reporting.
Maintain and organise storage areas and inventories
Support risk assessment and compliance documentation where required.
Must Haves
Some experience in events coordination, hospitality, operations, or project support.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills — confident working with guests, suppliers, and internal teams.
A proactive, “can-do” attitude and willingness to get stuck in on event days.
Flexibility to work weekends and occasional evenings, especially during peak seasons and major events.
Nice to Have
Experience running workshops, festivals, or guest-facing events.
A creative eye for event styling and guest experience.
Experience in customer-facing roles or facilities/maintenance coordination.

We are expanding our chef team here in Hawarden and we are looking for a CDP to join our team.
The perfect person will be passionate about local, fresh ingredients and driven by creating exceptional food. At our core are the principles of sustainability, provenance and service. Everything we do is based around this.
You must have experience of working in a busy kitchen with a seasonally led menu. We like new ideas and so a creative flair is a must.
An eye for detail and willingness to learn are critical as we constantly strive for perfection.
Requirements:
· Proven experience working in a busy fresh food kitchen
· Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
· Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead by example, delegate tasks whilst maintaining composure and efficiency in a high-volume kitchen
